The University's policy relating to staff's personal property is that staff bring their property onto the campus at their own risk.
The exception to this policy is when the property is used by the staff member to undertake their duties at CSU with the approval of their DVC, Dean, Head of School, Executive Director or Director and final approval from Division of Finance. If such property is damaged or stolen on campus, it may be insured by CSU. Please note a $2,500 excess will apply to each claim. It is strongly recommended that staff assess their own insurance requirements for their personal property and that appropriate cover is in place with their insurer. Please note that this University insurance policy will only apply to property that is not otherwise insured.
Therefore if you require your personal property on campus to be insured by the University, you will need to;

This policy is a comprehensive insurance policy that covers loss or damage to registered CSU vehicles and/or legal liability arising out of the use of a registered CSU vehicle. The policy operates within the Commonwealth of Australia. Only University-owned vehicles are covered, it does not apply to privately owned vehicles even whilst being used on University business.
All employees authorised to drive University vehicles must adhere to all traffic regulations, drive safely and courteously and familiarise themselves with the University's Driving Hours Policy in the CSU Policy Library.
This policy provides coverage for construction and renovation of buildings for Charles Sturt University against a sudden and unforeseen physical loss or damage where construction contracts are carried out within the University's campuses in NSW.
