Due to the wide variety of accommodation required by our travellers, the University does not have any upper limits for international accommodation. We have provided the attached guide to help with budget purposes. However, if there is a specific property you must use, please use the costs for that property.
Land travel costs are not paid in advance and are an estimate only. The budget you allow for will depend on the type of transport required. For a week long trip, where taxi's are required we would recommend allowing $200.00
The overseas meal allowance rates reflect the maximum allowance payable for official travel and may be varied between nil and the maximum allowance based upon the purpose of the proposed travel and/or funding.
Meal Allowance is calculated from time of arrival at your destination to the time of departure from your destination, and only in reference to CSU work related activities.
Please use the meal allowance calculator to calculate the permitted allowance.
This information should be available through the conference organiser or conference website. Please enter the amount in Australian Dollars. If you need assistance to process the payment of your conference fee please contact CSU Travel.

If the travel is predominantly personal and the personal portion is greater than 50%, then the traveller must purchase a private insurance policy.
